Every room needs one decision that everything else answers to. In this board, it is the Tacchini Additional armchair: a run of soft, rolled segments upholstered in saffron, originally conceived by Pierre Paulin as seating you could compose like a sentence. We built the room around its colour, its curves and its low, relaxed posture.
Start with the statement
Placed front and centre on a deep wool rug, the Additional reads as part chair, part sculpture. Keep the wall behind it calm, in limewash or textured plaster, and let it take the warmest light in the room. Pair the chair with its matching segmented ottoman and it becomes a lounge you can stretch across on a Sunday afternoon.
A quiet partner for a bold chair
Saffron needs a calm counterpoint. The Confident Curved Sofa follows the same rounded language in an ivory bouclé, so the eye moves from one curve to the next without competition. Underfoot, a hand-woven geometric rug in sand tones ties both pieces together and adds the texture this look depends on.
Sculpture at the centre
With low seating, the coffee table should feel grounded and organic rather than sharp. The Puzzle Coffee Table brings cream stone with warm walnut veining, picking up the ochre of the armchair. Beside it, the Tacchini Altar Low Side Table adds a darker, carved note, and an amber moulded glass sculpture catches the afternoon light.
Warmth on the walls
Finish the room with pieces that sit back. A walnut sideboard keeps storage low and long, a curved Tonin mirror softens the wall, and a glowing glass lamp adds evening warmth without overhead light.
The room, brought together
Here is the complete look: saffron, ivory, sand and walnut, held together by soft curves and natural texture. Every piece shown is available to view in our showrooms, and many can be tailored in fabric, leather and finish.
