About this piece

An enveloping lounge armchair with ultra-soft padding, decorative leather straps and a graphic crossed solid-wood base.

The Cierre Donald Armchair is a leather armchair by Italian maker Cierre 1972, designed by Marco Fumagalli and selected for refined, design-led interiors. Ultra-soft, enveloping padding invites you to unwind. Decorative leather straps with raw-cut edges secure the seat to its solid wood structure. Crossed legs add a graphic, contemporary touch. See it in person at our Johannesburg showrooms in Fourways and Kramerville.

Cierre Donald Armchair details

  • Origin: Italy
  • Designer: Marco Fumagalli (2025)
  • Construction: Metal frame with woven elastic band support, covered in expanded polyurethane of differing densities and a double layer of siliconised acrylic fibre.
  • Straps: External bands in leather with a special raw-cut edge finish, available in Soffio, Setanil and Natural Velour; edges lacquered tone-on-tone unless otherwise specified.
  • Base: Solid wood in bleached Canaletto walnut or black ash. Bleached Canaletto walnut is extremely natural and may show variations in tone and grain.
  • Dimensions: W 111 cm x D 100 cm x H 85 cm; seat height 46 cm, seat depth 55 cm, seat width 50 cm, arm height 68 cm.
